Singing the Stories of Humanity, Earth and Cosmos
-
Akasa Sound’s musical journey began from an unexpected experience at the ancient oracle of Delphi in Greece where she experienced a sudden auditory shift: a mysterious sound dimension opened inside of her and altered every aspect of her life, a phenomenon best described by Plato as “divine mania.” She began to use her voice to paint the images inspired by multi-cultural mythologies, stories and memories of humanity about self, earth and cosmos from the collective unconscious. Akasa Sound sings in a fictional language called Akashic language. Her songs reflect the diversity of the world cultures integrating various vocal techniques and musical elements from four corners of the world. She has a wide range of voices with rich colors and textures touching upon the dimensions of the above and below from contralto to soprano voices.
